A chance encounter with smoky temptation...
...led the mind a' wanderin'...
...the not-so-strangers in the night...
...eyed each other across the aisles...
...and a little mood music...
That's all it took, and something wonderful was about to happen, oh yes it was...

This sums up exactly why I married my husband. He gets the music on, gets in the mood and magic happens in the kitchen.
Love your true story!

You know I'm a sucker for pork.
Oh, jeez...now I have to wipe all this drool off of my keyboard...
I had to scroll really fast to get past the pork. Glad you're having fun in the kitchen. :-)
Uhh, leave out the pork hocks, substitute some chicken or something and then I'd be interested.
i was on my way out the door to your place, coat on and everything. and then i looked back and saw the cayenne pepper. and then i had to sadly turn around and go back to my desk. i'm sure you were too generous with the fire.
I ran screaming at the cayenne pepper.
yum.
the bay leaves reminded me of Alton Brown's macaroni and cheese recipe.
he's my new boyfriend.
Now I'm hungry, dammit.
That looks like it added up to yummy goodness!

Add some of the Andouille sausage that I put in my chicken gumbo, tonight. And double the cayenne, cher. Then it will be perfect. :) Soon!
