One In A Million

rain falls outside on greening grass
birds chatter and the sound,
a dreich counterpoint to human song

that claims "I'm a million
different people,
from one day to the next"

heard it all before
still split of mind
as to that million:

afraid I'm infinity plus one

  5. This is awesome, I am loving the idea of the infinite being finite.

  6. This is a smooth, lovely poem. The last line is a kicker. Perfection.

PS: Your labels are a subtext of every post. They say as much as your posts do.

  8. as Janie points out, nice use of a word no one has ever heard of before. Tell me, did you KNOW that word in advance, or did you open the archaic dictionary, pick a word and then write around it?? I do that sometimes.

  11. I would consult my dictionary, but that would make me feel stupid. So instead I'm just going to chew the end of my biro.
