Gift of the Chilis

Beseeching the gods
Night, eating round the table,
bestowed us chilis

  1. There was a time, long ago, when chili's were a part of my life. I longed for the heat, the buzz, the rush. As I developed Crohn's, I became a wimp. At times Taco Bell's mild hot sauce it too much.
I miss the heat. I miss the flavor. Your words bring some of that back.
    Thanks,

    1. Sorry to hear about the Crohn's, Jason. Went through some similar stuff myself, so I empathize. I miss the heat sometimes...and occasionally I stray :)

  2. I love to have a big pot of something cooking all day on cold winter weekends, filling the house with comfort smells.

Chili it is then for tomorrow...

    1. When I do allow myself the indulgence of belief, it is gifts like chilis what do it :)
