So happy to just be home. Time to sit down with the tools o' the trade. The radio was blaring out the Allman Brothers' "One Way Out" (the live version) from Eat A Peach...it was just what the doctor ordered on this, a rainy day of the soul.
Join me, won't you? I have an extra glass or two...
A nice single malt? I'm here! You have impeccable tastes in both music and libations, my friend.
ReplyDeleteI'm joinin' you! From a couple of miles down the road!
ReplyDeleteBy the way...
ReplyDeleteGreat fregin picture...
I don't know what it is...almost the perfect combination of the past and present...and everything is so crisp...
There is no EMOTICON for what I'm feeling!
peaches and whisky....sounds like a nice combo to me....l'chaim!
ReplyDeleteRain is good thinking weather.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Irish!
ReplyDeletelovely.
ReplyDeleteyes. I'm in.
ReplyDeleteThat's a brandy snifter... with brandy, I hope. we do believe in sharing, do we not?
ReplyDeleteRum will suffice, I hope. It's all I have currently. ;)
ReplyDeletei have a cheap champagne spritzer i'm drinking right now
ReplyDeleteYou know, I see on movies and stuff how Americans knock back shots of Scotch and other liquors like they're soft drinks. Is that, like, true?? Or are you actually sipping that single malt in the fine, elegant, and slooooow way it's meant to be enjoyed? Cos those movies? They piss me off. My swearing is increasing. I need to go to the fields....:)))
ReplyDeleteI have a bottle of Glendullan single malt straight from Scotland. I refuse to drink the stuff (me + any kind of whiskey = vomit), but I know it's expensive so I keep it just in case anyone ever wants any.
ReplyDeleteI had a jello shot last night. lol
the vanilla ice cream with the peaches was outstanding, just 'sos ya know...and instead of whisky, i used peach schnapps...oooo la la.....
ReplyDeleteWhat Kevin said, but I'd move the glass. The base is going to catch the edge of the laptop at some point and I'm pretty sure Dell's warranty doesn't cover scotch.
ReplyDeleteWhere does the real writing take place - in the book or laptop?
ReplyDeleteThough, I can't quite get a grasp on your penmanship.
Well, it would be rude not to join you, I feel. Down the hatch, old stick. Chin chin.
ReplyDeletePour me a stiff one.
ReplyDeleteLove ya kid. Don't know why I'm saying it... I just am.
ReplyDeleteOk..definitely in...a 3 finger pour please. Slainte.
ReplyDeleteYou had me at "One Way Out." Just got a new iPhone and the Allmans were some of the first downloads.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite t-shirt of late is:
ReplyDeleteYou had me at Hell No.
A great photo, and the light is like electric brandy.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, now this is my kind of set up!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a perfect rainy day. Love the Allman Brothers, love that song, and love you! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteCount me in -- better late than never!
ReplyDeleteI'm in! I'll bring the Scotch and good conversation :-)
ReplyDeleteMiss you! Hope alls well!
A perfect Irish evening?
