Dear Wee Lass

"Dear Prudence, won't you come out to play?
Dear Prudence, greet the brand new day
The sun is up, the sky is blue
It's beautiful and so are you"
---The Beatles (like I need to tell you that..)
I was sitting down to write about a sandwich I had today, and I was listening to the White Album, when 'Dear Prudence' came on. For some reason my mind substituted 'WeeLass' for Prudence in the song lyrics. The effect caught me off guard and got me to thinking of my beautiful daughter.
This, of course, made me all choked up, especially at the "It's beautiful and so are you" part. Why? Because Wee Lass is indeed beautiful. She makes life beautiful. She makes me a better person. She makes me WANT to be a better person. I suppose being tired and shagged out from a long week of architectin' made me a bit vulnerable, hence the pensive sniffles. I need the cut this short so I can go upstairs and kiss my beautiful lass, and make sure she is all tucked in.
The sandwich? A story for another time. My heart lies sleeping.
