Winter Poetry Slam: Ft. McHenry Meditation #6

Limbs waving wildly,
Raking the crystalline blue,
Soul drifting skyward.

  3. I love this one - raking the crystalline blue. Sounds sparkling, icy cold. The tree branches so covered with ice that they are clattering.

The nasty weather has finally reached us here in southern TX. Grey, cloudy, rainy. Not cold yet. Probably later. But not that cold, just annoyingly chilly and wet.

It's been a long, tiresome week, hasn't it? Or is it just me?

  5. Layered clouds hover
    ripened indulgence sighing
    slowly, full moon sets.

  6. I read, then I count your words...are you writing a certain style? Not Haiku...Gumbo Stew, okay that was lame, and I can tell the subject is excited, so is it an observance of your daughter... I will stop trying to analyze poetry...
