Would you, if you could,
start a revolution in your heart?
Sit still and write the manifesto
seething in your blood, filling veins,
Can you find the courage
to tell the true story of what you want
and thereby set the world alight?
Is it in you? The hot core of life
a sphere of molten desire to know,
to manifest in another's gravity
is perhaps the true rebellion
in a reality seeking to pervert you,
to melt you into a corruption.
Fight back! Live the love within you!

i never like ending a poem with some universal truth spelled out in GET MY POINT lingo. otherwise, very nice
ReplyDeleteAs a wise man once said to me, "Love is in the essential nature of us all . . . We have to work at seeing the path, the way." I agree with him. So? Live the love. Be a rebel.
ReplyDeleteUm, were you reading my mind dear sir?
ReplyDeleteAs I read this I am listening to Adele singing, "willing to take the risk." Funny, that.
ReplyDeleteI love this poem: starting a revolution in one's heart -- what a concept. We talk about cultivating love, compassion, etc. But an actual revolution in the heart? Great concept!! A warrior in the world.
Bravo.
Let me put it this way:
ReplyDeleteI AM LOVE..
We are all love, the pure energy, and the word, just cant cover, what I`m talkin`of...
ooo wow, this is hot.
