I sit in a daze and wonder
sometimes how can it be
the universe cares and not-cares
offering marvels and heartbreak
in equal measure, and I worry
but then a bird sings or a voice calls
and it matters little if it makes sense
or not-sense, because a breezy day,
turning the face to the sun, warming,
the soul knows the true promise of love

The universe has its own intentions...leading you places and then letting you do with your findings what you will. Thus, the random and quantum; the lack of sense and misdirection; the marvels and heartbreaks. It's all the promise of the universe.
ReplyDeleteLove this, Irish. Really resonates in this girl's psyche.
ReplyDeleteI'm a firm believer in connecting to an energy that makes me feel better, no matter what else is going on around me. It's my Zen practice. Call me grasshopper if you like.

String Theory or Sting Theory?
ReplyDeleteExhaustion from true understanding or ADD?

Einstein thinks the universe folds over itself, that we start where we stop and begin where we end. So does love.
